I recently re-designed the website for artist and illustrator Kelsey Linnartz. We began the re-design process by discussing the background and goals of her business. She wanted to appeal to high budget clients, and hoped her website would appear elevated and professional while maintaining the spirit of her colorful, playful illustrations. We analyzed her competitors to better understand their design strengths and identify how her redesign could level up and differentiate her services.

We discussed the content Kelsey felt was  most important to attract new clients within their first 5-7 seconds of viewing the homepage. Sharing her recent collaborations towards the top of the homepage was an important feature to authenticate her work and attract the right clients. The next stage in the design process was confirming Kelsey's style guidelines to inform the color, font, and photography direction found throughout her brand touchpoints. What resulted was a website that beautifully reflected Kelsey's products and services, through strong branding, scroll animations, clear call to actions, and cohesive imagery.
